Purpose
This manual explains how members of the public may request access to records held by Katzar, and how Katzar processes personal information under POPIA.
Requesting Access to Records
A written request must be submitted to the Information Officer identifying the requester, providing contact details, clearly describing the record requested, and explaining the right the requester wishes to exercise or protect. Katzar may charge prescribed PAIA fees for search, preparation, or reproduction of records. Access may be refused where permitted by law.
Records Held by Katzar
Katzar holds records relating to company governance, financial and tax matters, human resources, client and project work, supplier relationships, website and communications, and legal compliance. Some records are available without a formal PAIA request, including website content, published policies, and public contact details.
Processing of Personal Information (POPIA)
Katzar processes personal information to deliver services, manage client and supplier relationships, respond to enquiries, fulfil legal obligations, and operate the website. Katzar may process information relating to clients, employees, candidates, participants, website visitors, and business partners. Personal information may be shared with authorised Katzar personnel, service providers, professional advisers, and regulators where required by law.
Data Subject Rights
Data subjects may request confirmation, access, correction, deletion, or object to processing. Requests and complaints should be directed to the Information Officer. A data subject may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
